Almost the End!

Well, I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving!
Since I'm not from the U.S., I'm not as enthusiastic about the holiday as others, but I went "home" (as in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan) and had a nice time relaxing. I did have to do some homework for the upcoming final weeks of school, but I think I'm almost ready to be done.

Right now, I'm just thinking of new ideas for some paintings to start over winter break, and probably get some panels ready. Hopefully, I can have a fairly productive winter break.

Well...

So, as I approach my mid-program review for my MFA, I'm thinking about where I am right now.
I have gotten better since I started, but I have a looong way to go. I need to keep painting and painting so I can actually be happy with the works I'll have for my thesis show. Hopefully, I'll get there eventually.

But for now, this is where I am.

Kendall MFA Candidate's Exibition

This past Saturday, November 10th, was the reception for the 2012 Fine Art Graduate Exhibition at DeVos Place Skywalk in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The show includes works by current MFA students and recent graduate from Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris States University. The exhibition stays up until January of 2013, so if anyone is around in Grand Rapids area, drop by and check out some awesome works!

Almost the End of the Semester

The end of the semester is drawing nearer, and this week and next week seems to be time everything happens. So I have been trying to get things done, I am also feeling a little under the weather, which isn't helping. So This week, I'm only updating what's new with my life instead of my artwork.

I went to my former professor's reception for a solo exhibit she had, and it was a great series of work.
She doesn't have her newest on the website, but the work she has is still amazing. I don't know exactly what it is, but I feel a connection between my work (or where I want my work to be), and hopefully, by the time I receive my MFA, I can be closer to creating works of art at her level that's still unique to me...
